From wipeouts to wave‑ready bikinis: The Sea Egg story
Once upon a time, a kooky surfer girl had a horrendous bikini fail during a wipeout at Soup Bowl.
After that, she wondered where she could find cute, fun bikinis that would actually stay put, and not cost “an arm and a leg” (because she really needed her arms and legs to surf). She looked, and looked, and looked, but nothing felt right. Finally, she decided she just had to make her own swimmies, ones that might give her a fighting chance in the next big swell.
True story.
Sea Egg Swimwear is a proudly Bajan brand, designed and manufactured right here in sunny Barbados. Created especially for surfer girls who take a beating in heavy surf, our swimwear is built to give us a fighting chance when the ocean drills us.
We draw inspiration from our local artist and surfer community, everything from design concepts and product testing to graphic design for fabric prints, which are also produced right here in Barbados. Along the way, we’ve collaborated with incredible local talents, including artists Cathy Cummings and local surfers like our very own Chelsea Roett and Amaia Thomas.
Sexy, fun and functional, Sea Egg Swimwear is all of that and more!
